COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:
At Pulse Medic we offer flexible and engaging, three day First Aid at Work Training short courses for those looking to train or train their workforce in first aid. This course will enable you to acquire the skills and confidence to administer first aid and cope with a range of emergency situations. This adds emergency first aid at work course the one day and on completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

  • Perform all the elements from the Emergency first aid at work (Level Administer first aid to a casualty with:
  • Injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries chest injuries.
  • Chest Pain and Heart attack.
  • Falls 
  • Eye injuries
  • Burns & Scalds 
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Sudden poisoning
  • Anaphylactic shock
  • Recognise the presence of major illnesses and provide appropriate first aid (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes).

AED TRAINING INCLUDED.
Yes, This course now includes a practical, hands-on automated external defibrillator (AED) awareness session using trainer AEDs, a move which has been welcomed by the BHF, citing that awareness training instils greater confidence in the use of AEDs

 

COURSE DURATION.
First aid at work certificate; valid for three years. For best practice we support the HSE recommendation to complete an annual update of your first aid skills.This is an accredited 16 Hour Course over two days. Identification will be needed, and Date of Birth requested.

CERTIFICATION: FOR 3 YEARS.

  • You will get an accredited First aid at work Training Certificate valid for three years.
  • You will get all slings and a manual to take away.
  • You will also receive a handy credit size wallet badge. Our courses are renowned for providing a quality learning experience offering hands-on practical training that enable first aiders feeling confident to use their skills in a real life situation. The Minimal contact hours will be 16 (Sixteen).

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
In order to register on to this qualification, learners are required to meet the following entry
• 16 years of age or above
• It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English and Maths.
